Faux Painting Stenciling
Faux painting stenciling is an easy way to give your faux finish a truly unique, one of a kind beauty. Click here to share your stencil ideas with visitors to this page. Here's some great ideas... This first photo is of a tuscan texture faux finished bathroom. This client wanted this bamboo stencil to really blend in and be a subtle effect. Stencils like this are very delicate especially applying with texture. But the effect is absolutely worth it.

This next photo is of a tuscan texture finish also. It stands out quite a bit more and really adds extra interest to the walls.

I put this sun stencil in random places around the room. That way I avoided making any pattern and keeping the faux finish very unique. For more about tuscan texture finishes click on our
tuscan faux finishes page.
That's important with faux painting stenciling because it keeps the look a "one of a kind". After all, that's what makes faux painting so special. Anybody can put a patterned wallpaper up. But for a "one of a kind" look, faux painting is truly unique and beautiful. Here in this photo we used a different plaster material to apply this stencil. This person wanted it to look like it has been worn and aged for years. So we really distressed it to give it that look.

One of the most impressive faux painting stenciling we've done was using venetian plaster and gold leaf. The effect is so impressive because you actually use the gold leaf between your plaster layers. Here's the photo:

This is another WOW! factor finish.Venetian plaster is a beautiful faux finish to put stencils on. For more about this plaster click on our
venetian plaster page.
We have more about gold leaf and gilding also. If you're curious about it, check out our
gilding page.
One more idea for stencils is here in this photo of tissue paper faux painting.

This tissue paper finish was first painted. Then the stencils were added in random areas. And finally the walls were glazed. For more about tissue paper check out our
tissue paper page.
So I hope these ideas have helped you or even inspired you. It really can add to your "one of a kind" look!
